Spider Lift & Narrow-Access Tree Service

Arbor Pro’s Tree Service operates two track-mounted spider lifts — a 92-foot CMC 92HD+ Arbor Pro and a 75-foot TEUPEN — designed for tree work in locations where bucket trucks and cranes cannot reach. Both machines fit through standard 36-inch gates and operate on rubber tracks that handle slopes, soft ground, and narrow paths between structures.

What Is a Spider Lift?

A spider lift is a track-mounted aerial work platform that uses hydraulic outriggers — legs that extend outward like a spider — to stabilize on uneven ground. Unlike a bucket truck, which requires a paved surface and overhead clearance for the boom, a spider lift drives on rubber tracks that distribute weight across soft ground, navigate slopes, and squeeze through narrow openings. Once positioned, the outriggers level the machine on grades up to 40%, and the articulating boom reaches up and over obstacles to position the operator precisely in the canopy.

Our Spider Lifts

92-Foot CMC 92HD+ Arbor Pro Spider Lift

The CMC 92HD+ Arbor Pro is purpose-built for tree work. It reaches 92 feet of working height, fits through a standard 36-inch gate, and operates on tracked treads that handle slopes, wet ground, and soft turf. The Arbor Pro package includes a reinforced basket rated for chainsaw work and heavy limb handling.

75-Foot TEUPEN Spider Lift

The 75-foot TEUPEN provides the same narrow-access capability at a slightly lower working height. It handles steep terrain and soft ground with tracked treads and auto-leveling outriggers. Having two spider lifts allows us to run narrow-access jobs on multiple sites simultaneously.

When a Spider Lift Is the Right Tool

Spider lifts are typically used when the tree is in a fenced backyard and the only access is through a gate, when the tree is on a steep hillside where a bucket truck cannot safely set up, when the tree is between buildings or structures with no room for a crane, when the work site has soft ground, wet soil, or a manicured lawn that cannot tolerate heavy equipment, or when the tree overhangs a structure and the operator needs precise positioning above the roof line.

In many cases, spider lift access can be combined with crane-assisted removal — the spider lift positions the operator to make cuts while the crane lifts the sections out.

Ground Protection

Narrow-access jobs often involve navigating through manicured yards, between garden beds, and along paved walkways. We use protective ground mats under spider lifts and along travel paths to prevent turf damage and protect hardscape surfaces. Full cleanup — every branch, chip, and piece of debris — is included with every job.

Service Area

We provide spider lift and narrow-access tree removal throughout Clearfield County, Centre County, Jefferson County, and Elk County, including State College, Bellefonte, DuBois, Clearfield, Curwensville, Punxsutawney, Brookville, and Ridgway.
